Griffith Foods Hiring for Quality Technician – GFCA – Plant Quality at Toronto, ON Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:
To make a positive contribution, enabling Griffith Foods Canada to continue to grow and operate in an

effective, efficient and profitable manner. Perform analysis of all finished products, determine the status

based on the results and ensure safety and quality of products.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tests finished products to ensure that they meet specifications, against previously approved standards

and specifications.

• Enters information for each material into database
• Generates non-conformance reports for off-standard materials, indicating reason for off-standard,

disposition and location.

• Troubleshoots analysis, equipment and production issues in QS lab and manufacturing areas, maintains

proper documentation

• Perform Environmental Swabs, ATP Swabs, Pre-OP Inspections as required
• Calibrates and maintains analysis equipment.
• Some analysis of raw materials may be required.
• Maintains proper laboratory records (written and computer) and provides results in the required format.

Prepares reports, as required.

• May perform some or all of the following duties:

a) Prepares & standardizes lab reagents.

b) Operates specialized lab equipment.

c) Provides pre-shipment samples to customers.

d) Maintains supply levels.

• Communicates with other departments to provide results and technical support, as required.
• Conducts on-line product and process inspection and/or audits.
• Assists in the investigation of customer complaints and dispositions of out-of-date materials.
• Performs Q.S. Lab First Batch Manufacturing function, as scheduled.
• Acquires and maintains the necessary skills and knowledge through reading and training in new areas.
• Updates and maintains various aspects of plant quality system, as instructed.
• Participates in special projects, other duties or tasks that may be assigned as required.
• Ensures the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
• Ensures compliance with all product safety, legality and quality requirements.
• Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures.
