Griffith Foods Hiring for FRH Operator (Production Operator) Afternoons at Toronto, ON Full Time

Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products. We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world. Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers. While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies.

Major Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Director of Operations, of Griffith Foods on an ongoing basis and communicates all relevant matters pertaining to Operations
• Inspects line equipment and driving equipment to ensure proper working conditions
• Ensures that products are robust in accordance to HACCP and Griffith Management System procedures
• Produces batches as per instructions on schedule in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to lift 25KG’s and pack product efficiently onto skids
• Ensures proper documentation of processes
• Ensures work area is kept safe, clean and tidy
• Orders raw material when required
• Enters production into BaaN and onto worksheet and spreadsheet
• Communicates to various other shifts / departments on issues, maintenance problems, and unresolved issues that may affect production
• Performs any additional related duties as required
• Understands and follows all security policies
• Understands and complies with Griffith Foods Canada Food safety and health and safety procedure/policies
• Must be able to work in very hot conditions

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset
• Physical requirements: requires lifting of up to 25 kg on a regular basis
• Ability to communicate effectively
