Greystone Manor is an Independent Living Home for Seniors. We believe in providing quality service to all our residents. The ideal candidate will be able to follow oral and written instructions. Possesses a pleasant, outgoing personality, must be able to problem solve and work both independently as well as part of a team.

We are looking for someone to join our team that is a quick learner and loves to learn new skills. You would be cross department trained in the following areas:

· Housekeeping

· Dining Room Supervisor

· General Attendant

Housekeeping Duties:

· Performs daily and weekly cleaning of all residents’ suites and common areas, in accordance with established standards and procedures.

· Replenishes paper supplies, hand soap as required in washrooms and laundry rooms.

· Maintains housekeeping storage area, cart and equipment.

· Vacuums all carpet areas of the residence. Removes spots and stains from carpets and upholstery as required and according to established cleaning schedules.

· Performs additional cleaning as required, including washing walls, lights, vents, fans, appliances, inside windows, door and frames, and patios.

Pay: $17.74/hour and ILOB

Dining Room Supervisor Duties:

· Ensures the delivery of service to residents during meal times reflects the standards of Greystone Manor and handles cash out procedures/ room service charges effectively and accurately.

· Assists as necessary with the dining service (beverages, clearing of tables) to ensure a smooth, effective flow of dining service

· New Resident orientation to meals, assist them to choose seat based on move in information

· Ensures effective team communication within the residence, reports any concerns re resident behaviour appropriately.

· Delegates tasks and assists with set up and preparation for dining events, buffets and special functions.

· Reconciles nightly census, including cash and on account chits for guest meals and beverage purchases

· Checks residence staff communication and recreation calendar daily. Follows up with dining staff to ensure all staff is aware.

Pay: $17.16/hour and ILOB

General Attendant

· Performs housekeeping duties as requested

· Assists residents with personal care

· Covers reception desk when unoccupied i.e. – answers and directs calls, provides information to residents, family, and other visitors, assists with tasks as directed

· Assisting administrative staff in down time

· Maintains effective communication with residents, families, staff and community members, using appropriate lines of communication.

· Companionship

· Assists in the Dinning Room

· Documents all necessary information in appropriate communication binders

· Completes safety checks on all residents

· Provides delivery of items from front desk to suites

Pay: $21.96/hour and ILOB

Hours per week: 15-30 with the option to pick up more hours, must be able to work weekends and Tuesdays. Priority given to applicants with open availability.

Part-time hours: 15-37.5 per week

Salary: $17.16-$21.96 per hour
