Greenlight Networks, the ultra-high-speed, broadband service provider is actively recruiting for a Senior Software Enigneer to provide development and support to our rapidly expanding organization. This critical position will augment our nimble development team establishing state of the art software development driving results through automation helping shape the future of the fiber industry.

This posiition can be based in any of our markets:

• Rochester, NY
• Buffalo, NY
• Binghamton, NY
• Albany, NY

Essential Job Functions include:

• Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and document requirements
  • Contribute to the technical design of the solution as a team member
  • Apply agile team methodologies in managing and executing projects
  • Perform constructive code review
  • Employ version control best practices
• Implementation and enhancement of backend and frontend features for new platform, including implementation of new functionality as well as maintenance and support of production systems
• Implement API driven microservice backends which emphasize performance, high availability, and security
• Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems
• Build, test and deploy cloud-based software in a continuous delivery environment
• Conducts requirement analysis, documents technical specifications, and writes, reviews, and debugs code
• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
• Work in a collaborative environment with leaders of the business including the Senior Team
