Greenlight Innovation Hiring for Software Developer Technical Team Lead at Burnaby, BC Full Time

Duties include:
Provide technical leadership to a small team of software developers.

Responsible for the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Beckhoff PLC software platforms.

Participate in the development, configuration, and testing of the embedded PC and Safety PLC code base for new test equipment builds.

Work with parent company to facilitate integration with PUMA 2 software.

Provide support and training to Engineering, System Integration, and Customer Service teams.

Manage the development of software documentation.

Support the hiring and training of new staff.

Other duties as required.

Skills and Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Control Systems, Computer Science.

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.

Experience developing software using PLC IEC-61131 structured text and function block diagrams.

Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation (P&ID, I/O lists, electrical drawings).

Familiarity with fieldbus and serial communication (EtherCAT, RS-232, CAN).

Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.

Experience with Beckhoff PLC hardware is an asset.

Experience supporting or coaching others.
