About the Job
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our Software team. This role is responsible for developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining Greenlight test station software.
Duties include:
Develop and maintain Embedded PC code using Object Oriented Structured Text
Develop software for Safety PLC to meet safety requirements
Configure and deploy software for new test equipment builds
Develop systems to automate configuration and deployment activities
Develop and maintain software documentation
Provide support and training to System Integration and Customer Service departments
Integrate 3rd party hardware via EtherCAT, serial, and CANbus interfaces
Other duties as required
Skills and Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Control Systems, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience developing software using Object Oriented Programming
Considered Assets – Not Required:
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation: P&ID, I/O lists, electrical drawings, BOMs, and description of operations
Familiarity with Fieldbus and serial communication (EtherCAT, RS-232, CANbus)
Experience with IEC-61131 structured text and function block diagrams
Troubleshooting skills of electro-mechanical systems
Knowledge of safety systems and their associated design concept
Experience with Beckhoff PLC Software (TwinCAT)
Experience programming in C#
