Greenlight Innovation Hiring for Production Support Engineer (FT) at Burnaby, BC Full Time

We are growing and hiring a Production Support Engineer to join the System Integration and Testing (SI&T) team. This role supports Production by optimizing testing capacity and improving capabilities through technical, process, and resource development and innovation. The role will focus the candidate on continuous improvement of existing systems and processes through thoughtful analysis, measurement, and effective implementation.

Responsibilities include:
Work with stakeholders to maximize available capacity for production stages; power, space, compressed gases, and water systems.

Identify and report on department challenges related to safety, quality, costs, delivery, and team feedback.

Propose improvements, plan, and work with other departments to implement.

Coordinate product movement to maximum test bay utilization; incoming, outgoing, and paused projects.

Develop tools and processes to forecast future production demands and mitigate overload situations.

Improve the workflow of production following “Jidoka Autonomation” concepts.

Track and report on SI&T production key performance indicators (KPI).

Collaborate with and mentor Engineering Co-op students from time to time.

Working with an in-development facility SCADA system to automate tasks.

Provide technical and logistical support to SI&T team.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience working in a custom manufacturing environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Efficient project management and prioritization skills.

Experience with implementing 5S systems would be an asset.
