Greene County Public Schools Hiring for Online Learning Coordinator Job at Stanardsville, VA Full Time

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Online Learning Coordinator shall be responsible for leading and managing the school division’s online learning platforms, curriculum, and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Be eligible or hold a Virginia Department of Education license with the applicable endorsement.
• Strong organizational, management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated successful instructional experience, general leadership ability and personal characteristics necessary for working with staff, parents and community.
• Alternative qualifications as the Superintendent and School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops, implements, and maintains procedures for online course enrollments for students.
• Trains and monitors teachers working with students in virtual course enrollments.
• Collaborates with instructional coaches to identify and provide necessary professional development for online and blended learning to include learning management system training.
• Assists with management and maintenance of the professional development website.
• Stays up to date with current pedagogical changes and trends in online learning, courses and programs.
• Assists in aligning Greene County Public Schools online courses and teaching practices with National Standards for Quality Online Courses and Teaching.
• Supports implementation of division-wide learning management systems to further leverage technology, online learning and the 1:1 initiatives in place throughout the division.
• Evaluates and monitors 3rd party online learning programs and vendors.
• Ensures the integrity of the online programs in Greene County Schools to include appropriate student orientations and placements.
• Supports the ongoing development of alternative education programs in the school division that utilize online learning.
• Ensures frequent monitoring of students in online programs to include conducting ongoing communication and meetings with parents, students, and school staff.
• Coordinates summer virtual learning programs for students.

Position is a 10 month position = 200 days

Salary based on Teachers Scale

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $47,952.00 – $66,211.00 per year
