Position Description – Education Director – Full Time 40hrs/wk

Greenagers, through its paid employment and educational programs, engages teens and young adults in meaningful work and vocational training relative to environmental conservation, sustainable farming, natural resource management, and related skills.

Based in Egremont, Massachusetts, the organization has grown significantly over the past few years. As Greenagers grows, it is vital that we ensure a continuum of programming for youth who seek to remain engaged with Greenagers’ programs. It is also a priority to fully utilize April Hill Conservation and Education Center as a community and educational resource. As we seek to grow and evolve our programming, we seek an Educational Director that can work with local schools and the broader community to create experiences for our youth that prioritize deep connections to our land and community.

Position Overview

We are looking for a high-energy, mature self-starter who can serve as our Educational Director. We seek an individual with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth operation in the delivery of our mission. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Educational Director will oversee all administrative and program delivery functions of the Education Department. Specific responsibilities available upon request.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5-7 years’ experience in education, outdoor education experience preferred
• Proficiency with office technology and equipment – knowledge of Apple systems preferred
• Strong writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with strong project and time management skills.
• Knowledge of local school systems preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
