Green Plains Inc Hiring for Accounting Associate Job at Omaha, NE Full Time

Job Description Summary: As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for commodity/accounts payables and daily accounting functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with reviewing and processing corn tickets to corn payables; including verification of liens and federal/state charges.
• Backup communication with producers/end users and Grain Originator on corn related items.
• Process packing slips/receipts against open purchase orders in multiple Accounting systems.
• Process accounts payable invoices in multiple systems.
• Back up Accounts Receivable duties.
• Coordinate input of new vendor information by tracking outstanding forms and entering approved information.
• Support/Backup weekly forecasting, monthly Journal Entries, month end close/reporting.
• Assist Senior Accountant with State Filings; motor fuels, feed tax, etc.
• Prepare account reconciliations as assigned.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two-year accounting/business degree or 3-5 years accounting experience preferred.
• Accurate data entry skills
• Excellent phone and verbal skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent Microsoft Office software skills
• Accounting Software experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job includes but is not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, frequent computer use, frequent telephone use, some lifting or moving up to 30 lbs.
