POSITION SUMMARY:

Green Light Solar seeks a highly motivated Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will have high standards for communication, problem solving and ethics. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment with a rapidly growing company. Flexibility and comfort with multi-tasking are a must. The Accounting Clerk will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Green Light Solar is a solar panel installation business with a focus on residential and light-commercial systems. We partner with sales organizations to handle turnkey project fulfillment from engineering to permitting, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Our team believes in craftsmanship and going the extra mile to exceed our client’s expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounts Receivable

• Accounts payable

• Creating/sending invoices and responding to questions from dealers as needed

• Sending Statements and following up on payment statuses

• Entering checking account and credit card transactions into QuickBooks Online

• Manually entering checks into QuickBooks Online

• Creating and sending weekly Commission Reports

• Calculating and paying weekly commissions

• Tracking subcontractor and distributor payables

• Requesting funding from various lenders

• Reviewing and keeping up with invoicing/funding reports on a daily basis

• Downloading bank statements and reconciling accounts

• Creating financial reports

• Completing credit applications for the company as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS & LICENSES:

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and organized

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years in accounts receivable and payable

• Understanding, experience and exposure working with accounting software

• Strong focus on compliance and reporting with an acute attention to detail, in fast-paced environment, under tight work timelines

• Experience working with and handling confidential information

• Must be comfortable speaking on the phone with excellent communication skills, and working with high frequency of email communication

• Independent critical thinker, creative problem solver who is proactive, solution oriented and able to anticipate needs.

• Punctual, dependable, and professional

• Must be computer savvy: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Excel

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in accounting required with management experience and Solar experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
