Green Jellyfish have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Team. We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our innovative team in Norwich. The full-time role will involve the candidate being a resourceful individual with the ability to work efficiently in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a growing team by taking on this hands on Management Accounting role.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the Cashbook postings of receipts and payments
  • Reconcile the ledgers and bank accounts
  • Control of the purchase ledger, handling/posting invoices and creating weekly payment runs
  • Provide proactive business partnering to resolve any queries that arise within finance and the wider business
  • Daily review and distribution of the receipt’s exceptions report by utilizing spreadsheets, the accounting software and client records
  • Support the credit control function to resolve outstanding invoices
  • Prepare & post the month end journals
  • Prepare the month end management accounts
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets
  • Assisting the Finance Director with general accounting duties
  • Maintain the storage and retrieval of data on a client relationship management system
  • Producing data reports as and when required
  • Liaising directly with departments

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Management accounts preparation including accruals, prepayments and journal posting.
  • MS Office is proficient.
  • Credit control experience with the ability to produce reports on Debtors and Creditors.
  • Ability to complete cashbook postings, VAT returns, ledger and bank reconciliations.
  • Experience with supplier payment runs.
  • Part-Qualified Accountant (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or finalist with commercial experience.
  • Payroll (advantageous)

  • Salary:    From £25,000 – £35,000 per annum
