The Division

The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney into a metropolis of three cities – Eastern Harbour City, Central River City and Western Parklands City – whilst also overseeing the Greater Sydney region as a whole.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an exceptional opportunity available for a Finance Support Officer based in the Finance team within the Public Transport Contracts and Partnership branch. This role will see you assist with the payment of service providers in accordance with their contracts and support the Finance team by providing a range of financial and administrative services.

You will be involved in:

You will assist with the processing of monthly payments to service providers in a timely manner in accordance with contractual requirements.

You will also;

• Undertake all processes involved in the accounts payable function including dealing with vendors and contracts, invoice pending and open purchase order review
• Ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and discrepancies investigated within timeframe to enable payment to be made in accordance with accounting standards
• Review and reconcile statements
• Comprehending the financial section of the emergency bus service contract in order to be able to apply and interpret clauses relevant to payment functions and ensuring that accurate calculations are applied

About you

We are looking for a great collaborator who has the ability to work with information from multiple sources and databases including SAP and other Microsoft applications.

The ideal candidate must have some previous experience working in accounts payable and the ability to work within a small close-knit team environment.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 5 ($85,103 – $ 93,616) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
