Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria and has a well-developed economy due to its strong agricultural and irrigation base, with major industries related to food processing, manufacturing and transport. Early Childhood Educator – Bachelor (Long Day Care)
Salary: $67,104.96 per annum pro rata

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking applicants for the position of Early Childhood Educator – Bachelor (Long Day Care) at Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre.
This is a great opportunity to work with a qualified Kindergarten teacher who will support and mentor you to achieve your qualification. The position is situated in the 4 year old kindergarten room and the hours are 6 hours per day, across 5 days.
Study leave and access to experienced mentors are a key feature of this role.
Additional hours maybe available to support service rostering and there is potential for study leave support. We may be able to combine the hours to be worked across 4 days and the start and finish times will be in accordance with the service roster.
Currently for 2022, the children’s session operates Monday to Friday 9.00am – 2.00pm and your hours would be 8:45am -3:15pm (including half hour unpaid lunch break). These hours will change for 2023 to facilitate 6 hour sessions, the times yet to be finalised.
There may be some flexibility for start and finish time for the successful applicant.
The role will be supporting the kindergarten education team to foster a holistic, play based curriculum where the children’s interests, culture and abilities are the foundations for developing each child’s self-confidence to succeed.
Applicants must have their Bachelor of Early Childhood services with a valid VIT or be completely enrolled in undertaking a Bachelor of Early Childhood and hold a current police check, Level 2 first aid, asthma/ anaphylaxis management certificates and current CPR.

Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period. During the qualifying period employees will be provided with appropriate on-going induction, support, assistance, resources and training to enable them to meet the required performance standards for the position.
