Great Lakes Veneer, Inc Hiring for Cost Accountant & Production Analyst Full Time

The position is responsible for cost accounting and production analysis functions and conducts cost ing and analysis to determine the costs of business activity. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing s using the Sage accounting software, advanced spreadsheets, and financial s while complying with accounting principles and standards. The position works out of our corporate offices in Marion, Wisconsin and s directly to the Director of Manufacturing, who is a member of the Executive Team.

Responsibilities:

· Collects and compiles data to determine costs of business activity such a raw materials, production processes, inventory, and labor components

· Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic s comparing standards to actual production costs. Communicates variances and issues to Controller and manufacturing management

· Analyzes changes in product design, manufacturing methods, finishing processes, etc. to determine the effects on all cost elements

· Assists Product Development with new product cost analysis and production estimates

· Provides financial and labor analysis and monthly ing, utilizing s and data queries

· Supports Sales & Business Development with product quoting

· Monitors and follows cost accounting policies, internal controls, and accounting practices

· Collaborates with production and operations areas on product development, material, and cost saving initiatives

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing

Requirements, Experience, & Education:

· 4+ years of cost accounting & financial analysis experience in a manufacturing or public accounting environment while serving manufacturing clients

· Broad-based cost accounting operations experience in industry in cost accounting and financial analysis.

· Good level of financial acumen and business operations understanding

· Experience with inventory costing including lean accounting concepts and inventory reconciliation

· Direct hands-on experience working with financial software and financial spreadsheets

· ing and analysis skills with demonstrated industry application

· Ability to understand organizational business needs and communicate technical concepts

· Collaborative and analytical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage projects and deadlines

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis in Advanced Excel skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting required. CMA or CPA desired
