Your job

About the role: To be accountable for the Cash Management and Accounts Payable responsibilities of Munich Re UK Services Limited, Munich Re UK General Branch, Munich Re UK Life Branch, Great Lakes Insurance SE Branches, Great Lakes Services UK Ltd & Munich Re America Management Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for Head of FSS and the Senior Cash Management & Accounts Payable Specialist and assume responsibility for any delegated tasks and responsibilities
• Support and contribute to the day to day tasks of the Cash & AP team to ensure that they are completed in a timely fashion based on key deadlines
• Provide support for all internal business units and external clients
• Provide support on technical issues raised by less experienced members of the team
• Monitor Cash & AP team mailboxes
• Participate in projects relating to the Cash & AP team with specialist expertise
• Support and advance the Quarter End process where necessary
• Providing support to the teams Apprentices, act as mentor
• Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain vendor accounts on SAP
• Reconcile vendor accounts (incl. inter-company) and other balance sheet accounts
• Manage bank accounts & liquidity across multiple currencies, locations and business units
• Complete daily and weekly cash forecasts for known movements
• Process technical & non-technical payments across all business units
• Process staff expenses efficiently and adhere to company policies.
• Work with global systems: SAP, Concur, TRAX, COUPA
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Provide support for group reporting and statutory audits.

Your profile

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven Accounts Payable experience in a similar sized & complex organisation
• Experience in a shared service finance function
• Experience of working with many bank accounts, across multiple banks
• Effective communication with stakeholders, both internal and external
• Able to be hands-on and take ownership of the responsibilities
• Able to work independently, organise and prioritise work
• Excellent accounting software, excel and systems experience

Regulatory & Conduct Requirements:

• Satisfying all regulatory reporting requirements in collaboration with the reporting function
• Ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules
