Position Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Manager will be joining a highly successful and functional IT Team that supports the technology needs of Graton Resort and Casino. This environment is very dynamic, ever evolving and demanding, but greatly rewarding. Potential candidates should have a strong past experience with various types of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, and cloud systems. However, the main focus will be on networking. The ideal candidate should be forward thinking to innovate and evolve Graton’s IT infrastructure. Someone that really gets excited about getting involved in new efforts would mesh well with the team. This is also a rare opportunity to use technology in new ways and participate in business evolution.
Functionally, this position will be responsible for managing the network/cloud team, and manage the daily activities related to the daily upkeep, patching, and maintenance of Graton’s sprawling network. Additionally, this position will be responsible for continually driving enhancements, handling switch, firewall, and router upgrades, as well as monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting. Fundamental to make this endeavor successful will be mentoring and coaching IT Team Members with the goal to create a fun, hardworking and innovative work environment.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino’s Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino’s Service Standards at all times.
2. Responsible for creating an environment that fosters cooperation and innovation as the foundation of a successful and highly functional team.
3. Develop technical competence with the network/cloud team; support the team in achieving this goal. Develop a career growth path for each Team Member’s professional development.
4. Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
5. Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and related IT systems.
6. Establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network hardware and related equipment.
7. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation.
8. Work with the Project Management, Help Desk Support and Cybersecurity teams to support new projects, participating in the assessment and requirements planning to ensure project success.
9. Responsible for performance testing and tuning, system builds, disaster recovery configuration, version upgrades, and add-on installations relating to network and cloud systems.
10. Manage e-waste process for old, broken and end-of-life equipment.
11. Participate in IT leadership meetings and contributing to the ideas and decision making in order to improve department processes and functions. Work with the other areas of IT management to contribute to the overall improvement of Graton IT management and strategy.
12. Work with the team to investigate and plan business solutions, technologies, and opportunities that can benefit the organization and/or their area of responsibility.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. At least five (5) years of experience managing a technical team. Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills.
3. Five (5) to 10 years of experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc. Experience with Cisco, Arista, Aruba, or Palo Alto are preferred.
4. Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, such as servers, IOT, routers, bridges, switches, network interface cards, etc.
5. Knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Server, and related utilities. Requires strong troubleshooting ability.
6. Gaming industry experience is preferred.
7. Ability to work with typical hardware and cabling practices.
8. Excellent analytical and organizational skills required.
9. Ability to demonstrate good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, provide customer-facing interaction, as required. Must be able to interact effectively with people at all levels of the company.
10. Flexible availability, as business hours may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
2. Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and sit at a desk for an extended period of time; job requires extensive use of computers and phones.
3. Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, and crawl. Ability to grasp and reach in all directions, and use hands and fingers.
4. Ability to talk and hear.
5. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
6. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
