We are a folding carton manufacturing plant looking for a candidate with strong mechanical experience and aptitude to join our Cutting and Creasing Department as a Die Cutting Operator. The candidate will perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the Bobst Die Cutter – flatbed die cutters.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Make-ready, adjust and run job as efficiently as possible to meet safety and productivity standards.

Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications and special die cutting instructions.

Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects.

Responsible for quality of product. Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.

Follows established quality control inspection and documentation procedures.

Follows product identification procedures.

Responsible for accurate written and computer production reports.

Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Die Cutter.

Safely perform all tasks on and around press equipment.

Attend and participate in ongoing training.

Not limited to and including duties as assigned.

Requirements and Experience:
Grade 12 or acceptable experience.

English language knowledge/ability – speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Experience in Manufacturing/production environment.

Minimum 5 years’ plus prior experience working with Die Cutting machines – Flatbed.

Strong Mechanical aptitude.

Experience of Equipment Preventative Care and Troubleshooting.

Must have basic Computer skills.

Available to work Weekly Rotational Skills schedule.

Must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).
