POSITION SUMMARY:
The Rental Supervisor assists with all daily operations of the rental shop, ensuring rental inventory, repairs, pickups and returns are handled efficiently and appropriately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily opening and closing procedures for Rental Shop, including sales and revenue reporting.
Work closely with Ski School, Sales and Ticketing departments to meet guest needs effectively and efficiently.
Create and implement weekly schedule for rental shop employees.
Assist with binding certification process and trailing for all rental shop staff.
Maintain a neat and well displayed rental shop .
Ensure all rental equipment is well tuned and in good working shape.
Assist guests with all aspects of rental experience, including but not limited to, selecting rental equipment, completing rental forms and adjusting rental equipment appropriately.
Assist Rental Manager with implementation of all paperwork, loss, safety and control procedures.
Sell lift tickets and rental equipment .
Process credit card transactions and adhere strictly to guest and other privacy policies.
Organize prepaid reservation packets for the following day.
Complete closing procedures for individual selling stations.
Assist in testing skis and snowboards.
Prevent theft internally and externally.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Supervision and training of Rental Attendants.
Assist manager with monitoring and approval of payroll.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other departments and staff members, providing assistance and support as needed.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and standards.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of ski and snowboard tuning and maintenance including wax, edge repair and sharpening, binding testing and mounting, appropriate DIN setting for ski bindings.
Willing, dependable and able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
Databases – Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Experience and knowledge of rental software systems preferred.
Experience with ski and snowboard tuning and binding adjustments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Primarily indoor work in a fast-paced environment.
Some 50+ hour work weeks, particularly during holiday periods.
Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift.
Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds or more.
