As the largest grain storage and handling network on the east coast of Australia, we operate more than 150 regional receival sites and seven bulk port terminals. We store and market wheat, barley, canola, sorghum and specialty commodities, connecting over 10,000 growers with more than 1,000 end-market customers across the food, beverage, edible oils and animal feed industries. About the role

GrainCorp is currently seeking a Finance Manager* to work on Statutory reporting at our Sydney head office, on a 12-month contract (approximately). The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Provide the FC, CFO, Executive and Board with reliable and relevant financial accounting information across all business activities
• Prepare annual and half-year financial reports in accordance with relevant regulations and standards
• Manage group external audit process, including proactive identification and resolution of all significant accounting matters and technical issues globally
• Accountable for technical accounting policies and guidance, including new accounting standards
• Manage and lead a high performing team, ensuring deliverables are finalised to a high standard against tight monthly deadlines – with peak periods being half-year and year-end external reporting periods

About your experience

Candidates will have prior experience in a similar role, working with or for an ASX listed company, with strong commercial experience. Candidates will also display:

• Knowledge of Australian financial reporting, IFRS, Corporations Act and ASIC/ASX requirements
• Qualified CA or CPA
• Team management experience
• Understanding of complex financial systems.

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a national police check, credit check, bankruptcy check.
