Position Summary:

Graduation Alliance is looking for a Teacher Mentor. This position is responsible for providing direct support to teachers and Lead Teachers. The Teacher Mentor will provide leadership to teachers by monitoring teacher efficacy and providing support and direction concerning student success metrics centered on course completion goals. Additionally, the Teacher Mentor will lead academic remediation efforts. This will include working directly with Academic Coaches, Local Advocates, Leadership, and organizing teacher groups to provide additional instruction and direction for students in a variety of alternative education programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor teacher performance

• Provide direct support to teachers and Lead Teachers

• Collaborate with Academic Coaches and Local Advocates

• Guide teachers to provide student support

• Train and mentor new teachers

• Work with curriculum and instructional leaders

• Perform related duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum BS or BA from a regionally accredited college or university

• Demonstrate professionalism that displays effective judgment and professional integrity

• Demonstrate the ability to work with struggling at-risk students

• Demonstrate the ability to function in a leadership and guiding role that enhances student achievement toward educational goals

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Working knowledge of web-based applications for online learning, including learning environments and web-based development tools

Preferred experience and Requirements:

• Understanding of Graduation Alliance systems related to student progress

• Experience in education or related fields.

• Experience supervising adults

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
