Your opportunity

A challenging and exciting role has arisen within Group Finance for an experienced and highly professional candidate, who is able to showcase their business partnering and excellent financial knowledge and analytical skills.

This role will see you acting as Finance Manager and Business Partner to the General Manager of the Crown business unit. The role has matrix reporting to the General Manager Crown.

You will rely on your inquiring mind and analytical skills to seek out opportunities to drive improvement in the business.

About The Role

You will be responsible for the following duties responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Supporting the Crown business on all aspects of financial management including the month end reporting process.
• Review and analyse business results and provide commentary over variances to budget/forecast/Prior Year.
• Preparation of detailed reports and presentations to senior management and executives.
• Drive ongoing improvement in cost and cash flow.
• Provide insights to inefficiencies and identify and implement solutions to improve processes.
• Working with the General Manager and Head of Corporate Business at Crown in the assessment of new contracts/customers.
• Driving the annual budget and business planning cycle.
• Providing support to the Crown management team on financial aspects impacting their areas.
• Leading the small finance team to deliver the best outcome for the business.
• Oversight and support for Group projects and initiatives.
• Active involvement in senior management meetings to provide strategic input to drive the performance of the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following attributes:

• Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business Analytics or other relevant qualifications.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in business partnering preferably in a warehousing / Logistics environment.
• The ability to work independently in identifying and driving business improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong project management experience.
• Proven experience in managing a small team.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise with people at all levels (both internal and external) with confident verbal and written communication
• Advanced excel skills.
• Complex problem-solving skills.
