Position Description

The Hospice Education Support Specialist develops and implements the growth and ongoing monitoring of the Grace and Comfort Education program, including improving the quality and quantity of Grace and Comfort Hospice orientation, onboarding and support. As a Hospice Education Support Specialist you will:

• Support ongoing and engaging training programs, and assist with tracking performance outcomes for process improvement initiatives of the Continuing Education program
• Assist with refining, facilitates and overseeing orientation program for all disciplines in the hospice enterprise, both in live classroom or virtual environments
• Assist with conducting needs assessment on an annual basis, identifying gaps and offering solutions/tools for staff development and training
• Collaborate with leadership to support education and other company enterprise initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Social Work license
• Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other field related to social work
• Two years or more of experience in training and mentoring staff in home health/hospice or comparable health care institution, and teaching of adults, teaching/learning principles and curriculum evaluation
• 1 or more years’ experience with EMR systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
