Grace College invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Communication. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, department and college service, scholarly activity, and professional development. We seek a colleague with teaching expertise in interpersonal communication, quantitative research methods, intercultural communication, and/or communication theory. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian liberal arts undergraduate education and will help oversee the Public Speaking in Society general education course.

Qualifications: This position offers an exciting opportunity to a faculty member with both academic and research experience who seeks to contribute to the growth of the Department of Humanities and the Communication Program. The successful candidate will have:

· A Ph.D. in communication or a related field.

· A vision for supporting the continued development and growth of the Communication Program.

· A research plan that can involve undergraduate students appropriate for a liberal arts college.

· Evidence of excellence in teaching.

· A desire to integrate faith with learning in all areas of life.

· A commitment to collaborate with colleagues and students.

· Evidence of relevant scholarship.

· Additional relevant area(s) of knowledge and teaching ability (e.g. journalism, political science or political communication, media studies, religious communication, philosophy, etc.).
