GPC Systems Ltd Hiring for Customer Software Technical Support Job at Swansea, Wales Full Time

Applicants are invited for the position of Customer Technical and Software Support at GPC Systems, Swansea. The post holder will have experience in supporting customers that use software solutions on a number of platforms including Android and Windows. You will be confident in assisting customers with technical questions, problem solving and training. Experience in testing would be an advantage. Must be UK based with a UK full driving license, excellent communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken english. 

Responsibilities

You will provide high quality support and training services to our end clients across the world. You will be confident in providing email, message and telephone support where required. You will have experience of working in a help desk environment and using online help desk software to respond to customer help requests. You will be comfortable with managing support requests from initiation through to resolution. 

Experience in software testing and relevant methods for testing and quality assurance will be advantageous but it is more important to demonstrate technical competence such that you can carry out basic software testing. This may include building and running test plans, creating test data, and running regression testing. You will be confident in providing feedback to developers regarding problems and be proactive in recommended improvements or changes to software. You will be able to understand the user interface from an operational perspective by understanding our users and how they utilise the software. You will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of using Excel to record results and in using basic mathematical functions.

Whilst the post is predominantly home based you may be asked to visit other employees in Swansea or elsewhere in the UK or to attend customer site visits in the UK or overseas from time to time.

Requirements

Essential

• Experience of customer support for software applications

• Be able to demonstrate ability to understand user requirements and interactions with software

• Experience of support or testing software in an Android or Windows environment.

• Experience of Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

• Valid full UK driving licence.

• Facilities to enable home working including suitable internet connectivity

• Able to manage your own time adhering project timetables and tasks assigned.

• Work well with a remote team using online collaboration tools

• UK based 

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Desirable

• Experience of software testing

• Experience creating user documentation

• Experience creating user video guides using video editing software

• Database skills including SQL

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
