We are actively looking for an experienced Logistics Dispatcher to join our growing team within the Lumber and Building Materials industry! The Logistics Dispatcher will be responsible for efficiently coordinating and managing the transportation of building materials to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to clients and job sites.

The Logistics Dispatcher will also be responsible for scheduling and assigning deliveries to drivers, optimizing routes, and tracking shipments to guarantee efficient and on-time arrivals while collaborating closely with the drivers and warehouse personnel to maintain clear communication and address any delivery challenges or changes.

Responsibilities For The Logistics Dispatcher

• Efficiently schedule and coordinate deliveries of building materials to ensure OTD and accurate transportation.
• Assign deliveries to drivers, optimize routes, and maintain effective communication to enhance operational efficiency.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing real-time updates to drivers and addressing any potential delays or issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service and resolving delivery-related challenges promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, shipment details, and driver communication for documentation and ing.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold a secure and efficient logistics operation.

Requirements Of The Logistics Dispatcher

• Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, and Dispatching
• Working knowledge of construction supplies and building materials preferred
• Must demonstrate reliability, efficiency and ability to multitask
• Strong personal leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Superior customer service skills including professional appearance and attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ODT software
