Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing, and closing the business.

Will prepare rate proposals to prospective and new clients for various transportation services while utilizing knowledge of market trends to provide strategic solutions.

The Logistics Coordinator will generate a book of business by making phone calls and developing high-level relationships with key decision makers.

The challenge of the Logistics Coordinator is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator :

• Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing, and closing the business.
• Will prepare rate proposals to prospective and new clients for various transportation services while utilizing knowledge of market trends to provide strategic solutions.
• Will generate a book of business by making phone calls and developing high-level relationships with key decision makers.
• Will need to increase revenues and maximize profitability.
• Schedule routes, changes, adapt to weather constraints, and make highly important decisions for daily runs
• Dispatch background and experience is a MUST

Experience :

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Facilitator with conflict resolution.
• Results driven.
• Ability to multitask.
• Team player (operates through consensus).
• Knowledge of Freight Management Software
• Understanding of the Transportation Network.
• Education : College Graduate.
• 2 years of freight brokerage sales, business development and Account Management experience.
• Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity).
• Computer literate (Microsoft Suite : Power Point, Word, Excel).
