GPA Global | Packaging Solutions Hiring for Technical Sales Support Account Manager Full Time

JOB SUMMARY

Organizes, manages, and plans complex projects for the company’s client services, development and product implementation efforts. Requires extensive interaction between all departments to provide a record of accurate and reliable information pertaining to the customer’s specifications through all phases of estimating, order entry, production, shipping/inventory, and billing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Successfully manage account base to meet or exceed sales forecasts and budgets as defined by business development leadership.
• Provide accurate and continual communications to internal and external customers on any aspect of order fulfillment.
• Order and inventory management based on forecast, capacity planning and other modeling.
• Goals include accounts receivables and working capital management.
• Participate in Lean/5S projects and deploy continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaison between GPA Global and key accounts on all aspects of account management.
• Gain thorough understanding of strategy and effectively represent strategy to customer base.
• Coordinate all special packaging requests that would facilitate smooth communication between GPA Mansfield customers and all internal departments for outsourced goods and services purchased through GPA Asia’s division and/or other outside sources. Responsible for managing the PL and margin control on these items.
• Facilitate and expedite all aspects of project development, pre-production, order entry, the approval process through inventory management.
• Responsible for communicating sampling and quote information, via the Project Request Form. Pricing to include all applicable pre-production and production costs.
• Manage the quote approval process once agreed to by customer. Forward all applicable specifications to pre-production manager and expedite the pre-production specification sheet. Review differences on the estimate versus the Pre-production spec sheet if applicable.
• Confirm that the artwork meets the quote/job requirements. Communicate any differences to salesperson and customer to resolve any pricing differences before proceeding.
• Responsible for communicating changes to order specifications through applicable personnel. Resolve issues involving vendor delays and missing information.
• Send monthly inventories to customers, review and update. Release finished goods and keep track of overrun percentages and aged inventory. Contact the shipping department for discrepancies on physical inventories. Arrange requisite paperwork for international shipping and/or COC’s when required.
• Design Assembly Instructions for fulfillment projects for cartons at co-packing plants when necessary.
• Occasional travel to customers required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or three to five years’ related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Have the ability to write s as well as business correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Lotus notes, and Internet research. Ability to learn and become skilled at EFI Radius computer software.

REASONING ABILITY

Have the ability to define and solve problems. Collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
