The Opportunity
As a Criminal Intelligence Analyst, you will be an integral member of a highly-specialized intelligence team identifying, assessing, disrupting and suppressing street gangs and like criminal organizations in Saskatchewan. You will supervise the intelligence activities within a regional team and provide a wide range of intelligence products and services including, but not limited to: quality assurance of intelligence documents/processes/operations to comply with established standards; managing the collection, analysis, and dissemination of tactical and strategic intelligence information; contributing to the creation of intelligence documents; and providing recommendations for program enhancements to mitigate threats to Community Safety and Provincial Corrections programs.
The Ideal Candidate
You will provide expert advice and recommendations to Senior Government Officials on strategic issues and challenges related to intelligence gathering and dissemination in an ever-evolving program; prepare written s summarizing the results of intelligence-gathering initiatives and programs; and develop threat assessments on specific situations – on a quarterly and annual basis.
Your excellent communication skills will serve you well as you brief colleagues, management, law enforcement and member agencies on criminal intelligence/information. You will provide leadership in staff training and orientation sessions and make formal presentations at meetings on subjects pertaining to activities/trends and the criminal environment relating to organized and serious crime.
You will have a personal management style exemplified by respect and consultation and will have demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop cohesive and respectful relationships within the Ministry and among key stakeholders spanning an exhaustive list of service delivery agencies.
Candidates will obtain the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a post-secondary degree with related professional experience and training. You will have proficient computer skills and extensive experience in working with database software.
