The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Employment Standards Division in Prince Albert, requires a permanent part-time Employment Standards Intake Officer (approximately 20-hrs per week) to inform and provide interpretation to a diverse client group including business owners, employees, union representatives, lawyers, human resource professionals, industry associations, accountants, bookkeepers and other individuals requiring information related to the employment relationship.

In addition to administrative duties, the primary role of the Intake Officer will be to answer inquiries via the Employment Standards general inquiry line as well as in-person on matters such as disputes relating to hours of work, breaks, maternity/parental/adoption leave, holidays, proper records, unlawful deductions, pro-rated benefits, duty to accommodate, equal pay, compensation issues, wrongful dismissal and other employment related issues. The Intake Officer will also interview clients, collect information and provide the file to the Employment Standards Officer.

Knowledge of The Employment Standards Act and Regulations is required, as well as relevant experience in an administrative/office capacity.
