The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking a creative, energetic individual to join the Communications branch as a Social Media and Marketing Consultant.

You will report to the Director of Communications and Marketing, and work closely with the Youth Apprenticeship Manager to promote the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) program.

You will be responsible for developing marketing and social media strategies to promote understanding and raise awareness of apprenticeship, careers in the skilled trades and the SYA program.

In order to succeed in this role, you will have knowledge of:
Marketing theories and principles;

Graphic design theories and principles;

Website content management systems; and

Marketing techniques, methods, standards, mediums, equipment and software.

You will:
Design, implement, and evaluate strategic social media and marketing plans;

Create written and visual communications and marketing materials using a variety of hardware and software applications, including Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premiere Pro;

Update website content; and

Operate a variety of communications/audio visual equipment in order to create engaging social media and website content.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; and

At least one year of experience in a professional marketing/social media role.

The SATCC performs four main roles: we train apprentices; certify apprentices and tradespeople; regulate the apprenticeship system of training; and promote apprenticeship as a way for employers to meet their labour market requirements. The SATCC also represents Saskatchewan on interprovincial initiatives. Our vision is the most skilled and representative workforce, industry trained and certified. Our mandate is to develop, promote, and execute a relevant, accessible and responsive apprenticeship training and certification system to meet the needs of employers, apprentices, journeypersons and tradespersons.
