The Public Prosecutions Division, Head Office is looking for a highly motivated, organized and detail oriented individual to provide financial/accounting support in a legal environment. This position will assist in managing the financial accounts and witness expense reimbursement program by providing the pre-audit functions on expenditures and preparing them for processing. You will assist the Director of Finance with the forecasting/budgeting for the Division.

Working independently as well as in a team, this position requires you to work in a busy and often stressful office, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. You will be in daily contact with the public, lawyers, police, media and community agencies both in person and over the telephone.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of applicable computer hardware and software applications and terminology and Accounting principles. Your ability to accurately type and edit correspondence and other documents and your ability to use tact and diplomacy when serving clients and colleagues will contribute to your success in this challenging position. Typically, the competencies required in this position would be obtained through training in office administration and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
