The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission is seeking an organized and energetic Client Services Representative for our Saskatoon office.
You will be responsible for providing front line reception coverage and administrative support. You will manage the retention and revision of all documents in the Designated Trades Category on the Commission’s web site, while also providing support to the program development team by proofreading, formatting and processing all Commission trade information materials, processing provincial and national print master materials, entering marking criteria, and updating supporting documentation. You will provide support to the field staff and industry trade boards by receiving and processing client applications, assisting clients in completing various application forms and compiling employer applications for registration of apprentice packages. You will provide general office support including word processing, copying, maintaining manual and electronic filing systems, receiving and remitting application fees, recording and balancing cash reports, managing petty cash, and receiving and distributing incoming mail. Past experience working with boards and confidential documents would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of office management practices and procedures, accounting/financial principles and procedures, word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications. You will have strong communication and exceptional customer service skills in order to provide assistance and advice to internal and external clients on ministry processes and policies. You will have the ability to calmly and courteously acknowledge the concerns of clients who may be hostile, angry, rude, confused or frustrated. You will have the ability to lift boxes up to 25 kilograms in weight.
Typically, the competencies required for this position would be obtained through the completion of an Office Administration certificate combined with several years of office administration experience.
