Gordon Food Service is Looking For Loader at Ajax, ON Full Time

Position Summary:
Loads pallets of productions onto trailers according to load diagram or by customer.

Pay rate: 23.34/hr

Shift: Sun-Thurs 2pm – 10pm

Essential Functions:
Inspects trailer interiors for cleanliness.

Loads pallets onto trucks or trailers in proper sequence per computer generated loadsheet.

Hand stacks product on trucks when necessary.

Secures pallets with load bars or load straps.

Verifies that all pallets are placed on the correct truck.

Sets the refrigeration units at the proper temperature.

Wraps all pallets with shrink-wrap prior to loading on trailers.

Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Must be able to work independently or within a team environment. Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Must submit to and pass a RIAH drug screen.

Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
