Media & Marketing Specialist

Non-Exempt Position
Hours: 40 hours/week and as needed

POSITION OBJECTIVE
To provide valued support to the Media & Marketing (M/M) Director. We are a small but mighty team, that is looking for someone who is not afraid of new challenges, who can keep things on task and on schedule, and who is ready to join a fun and mostly sane team.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years related work experience with media/advertising.

• Solid working knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools (not just social media).
• Experience with multiple research methods and use of data analytics software.
• Previous experience in sales and marketing preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Media & Marketing Department General

• Get tasks/projects where they need to be when they need them: o Maintain project schedules utilizing task management software. o Coordinate routing of client, media, marketing and internal documents. o Monitor and update calendar.
• Be able to rock Word & Excel: o Draft meeting minutes, monthly summaries and client communications. o Assist with maintaining budget spreadsheets for clients/projects.
• Comfortable with talking to other humans via phone, email and in-person. o Coordinate contact with clients, media representatives, vendors, and freelancers as needed. o Represent the company at industry/client events and help ensure that goals for company participation in each event are defined and met.
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
The position requires 40 hours on-site per week. Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Performance of duties and tasks using standard office equipment, including work at computer terminals. Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs. Must have a vehicle and be able to drive at night. Good speaking and hearing abilities to communicate in person and over the phone.
