About us
We are a successful, fast-growing family-owned Electrical compliance and installations business seeking a Senior Finance Professional, to join us for this permanent full-time, office-based role in London Colney. You must have experience within the construction sector/contracting companies to apply. You will be working closely with the operations teams to ensure the company’s transactions are recorded accurately and preparing reliable management accounts and reports.
Job Description
· Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
· Reconciling supplier statements
. Raising & sending sales invoices and monthly statements and chasing monies from our clients and customers
· Negotiating and setting up repayment plans, charge for late payments and start legal proceedings where necessary
· Developing monthly management accounts including cash flow, profit and loss account, balance sheets and other management reports
– Processing payment runs
· Reconciling PAYE and VAT balances and completing monthly VAT and PAYE returns
· Reconciling bank accounts to make sure amounts paid reflect goods and services received
· Identifying and resolving any inconsistencies or inaccuracies
· Preparing employee wages
· Managing employee expense claims and car loans
· Helping the Accountant with preparing yearly accounts
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have experience in the construction industry/working with contractors, purchase and sales ledger, credit control, payroll, bank reconciliations and producing monthly management accounts and management reports.
A strong communicator, you must be able to work independently and with little supervision, be able to commute to offices in London Colney and be able to come in and hit the ground running. You will be technically sound and be confident on excel and have experience of the duties listed above in the responsibilities.

20 days holiday plus bank holiday (pro rata)
Salary up to £35,000 per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience. (There may be some flexibility in the salary, and can be discussed at interview)
This is a full-time, permanent position working 8.00-17.00 Monday – Friday, office based
