The Chrome OS Files team enables users to access their files easily and efficiently. We work across the full stack, from low-level filesystem integrations such as Google Drive and USB storage all the way up to Chrome OS’s file management application, Files.app. Regardless of where files are stored, or which applications access them, our goal is to make them easily accessible by end users and developers.

Responsibilities

• Help build a team and cultivate innovation by driving cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
• Lead designs of key software components, systems, and features.
• Work on Files.app, the Chrome OS file manager, improving existing features, building new features and refining its architecture to ensure long-term, sustainable growth and maintainability.
• Collaborate with other teams looking to integrate their features into Files.app, understand their needs, prioritize requests, and facilitate our team to assist in the delivery of these features.
• Develop the overall strategy for the application’s development and feature set and drive execution from ideas to delivery, in collaboration with the Technical Lead/Manager and Product Manager.
