Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in software development and testing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with test automation.
  • Experience with working collaboratively on complex projects and influencing engineering teams.
  • Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
  • Experience in building testing frameworks, tools, and automation within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Chrome OS is a secure, auto-updated cloud-based operating system created by Google. Chrome OS runs on Chromebook and is the number one device used in K-12 schools. Android apps and Linux apps are also available on Chromebooks and further expand the functions of Chromebook.

The Chrome OS Test team is continuing to grow and needs your help to continue to advance test solutions for ChromeOS. We are looking for a Test Engineer (TE) who can work within a fast moving environment, define test strategies for evolving features, help improve processes, and augment the test automation.


Responsibilities

  • Develop test strategies and test plans supporting Chrome OS user experience.
  • Automate tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure.
  • Work with team leads to create the release process and integration with Chrome OS.
  • Work with teams in multiple locations in different timezones.
