Minimum qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing teams.
- Experience with functional programming and formal methods.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with formal theorem provers (e.g. Coq).
- Experience with hardware and software verification.
- Experience with functional language design.
- Track record on publishing research results and driving adoption of research projects.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will be leading a team doing research on formal verification to advance the building of secure and private systems. You will use designing methodologies, languages, and tools using formal methods (e.g., formal theorem provers such as Coq) to design secure hardware and software stacks. The team contributes extensively to open-source projects, and disseminates results in papers at conferences. You will drive the project further through internal and external collaborations. You will manage a group of highly motivated engineers.

Responsibilities
- Manage a research team and projects to set direction in the area of formal verification.
- Participate in the design and development of methodologies, languages, and tools for high assurance hardware and software systems.
- Contribute to open-source projects for secure system design and implementation.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive adoption of research.
