Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in software development.
  • Experience working with C, C++, Java or Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with two or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Expertise working with one or more of the following: Infrastructure, Machine Learning, Mobile Application Development, Embedded Systems, Front-End Development, Security and Privacy.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

The Chrome OS Machine Intelligence team is responsible for building machine intelligence applications and infrastructure for Chrome OS.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Develop Chrome OS specific machine intelligence systems to improve user experiences and device performance, this includes human presence sensing, smart device locking, palm rejection for tablets, adaptive screen brightness, and so on.
