Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant experience in Finance, Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A), Management Consulting, Strategy, or Product
  • Experience in an analytical role and working with C-level executives

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a professional services business in the Technology industry
  • Knowledge of the SaaS/cloud industry partner ecosystem, including key metrics (bookings, backlog, revenue), revenue recognition rules, and deals structures
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at executive level and form strong working relationships across business and technical functions
  • Ability to take initiative, self-direct in an unstructured, fast-paced environment, and navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to gain insights and identify trends from of high volumes of data with good modeling skills

The Finance team for Google Cloud Customer Experience is the strategic partner and independent advisor to the organization that leads Technical Support, Professional Services (PSO), Learning, Customer Success, Strategic Accounts, and Customer Advocacy Groups for Google Cloud. We are responsible for profit and loss (P&L) management, including forecasting/planning for business growth and expenses, financial reporting, cost management, top line analysis, and evaluating strategic investments. You will play a role in partnering with regional leadership to provide visibility into business performance and influencing decision-making to grow Google Cloud Customer Experience in EMEA.

The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.


Responsibilities

  • Be the primary Finance business partner for various leads within Cloud Customer Experience (CCE) in EMEA. Understand the end-to-end sales cycle and services delivery process in order to give impactful recommendations on how to improve business performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Google Cloud Customer Experience, Sales, Strategy and Operations, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Provide recommendations to executive management based on robust financial analysis and critical thinking to enable better decision making.
  • Track business performance against P&L goals by working with key cross-functional partners and communicate key results to Google Cloud Customer Experience leadership.
  • Develop and upgrade critical finance processes, business, and review cadence, including leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial cycle.
