As a Manager within the Asia Pacific (APAC) Controllership team, you will support commercial arrangements that span multiple product areas (xPA), and will partner closely with a number of cross-functional and cross-finance stakeholders, regionally and globally.

In this role, you will successfully drive finance and business-led initiatives, and also implement and continually look to improve existing processes. You will know your accounting principles and the accounting processes. Every day is a new challenge, and you will look for ways to help our team get better at what we do, in the most efficient way possible.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement structure and policies to support commercial arrangements that may relate to multiple product areas (e.g., cross-product areas), to ensure future scalability for APAC Controllership.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Product Area Controllership, FP&A, etc.) on tracking, updating and keeping up with pipeline and executed agreements.
• Develop knowledge of Google’s products and services, company structure, business growth recognition policies and operational processes.
• Partner with Country Controllership teams on financial reporting and compliance requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Technical Accounting) to ensure cross-product area agreements are accounted for.
• Review, consolidate, and provide feedback on agreements, working through accounting implications, and determining how agreements can be supported operationally.
