We are searching for a Director of Talent and Culture that will nurture and develop the daily operations of the Human Resource Department while setting talent and culture strategies in place for the company. You will be a key member of the leadership team, bringing a high level of energy and integrity to our untraditional group.

This role is the cornerstone to providing an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and organizational growth.

Director of Talent and Culture Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a senior director or leadership role that allowed you to help build and retain a solid foundation for the growth and development of the company
• Sensitivity, compassion, and a commitment to working with a culture driven team
• Ability to articulate and discuss policy ideas with the executive team while expressing your autonomous views
• Be able to tactfully and diplomatically communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff

Director of Talent and Culture Responsibilities

• Directs the functional areas of HR including, but not limited to retention, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluations, compensation management, benefits administration, organizational development, workers compensation, risk management, and other special projects.
• Responsible for maintaining a highly engaging culture, motivating employees, fostering an environment with high levels of teamwork, accountability, communication, and vision to employees.
• Develops, updates, and manages policies and procedures.
• Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Works closely with the executive leaders to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolutions to address employee performance.
• Manages the HR team and provides guidance to resolve sensitive employee relations issues. Identifies and consults with legal resources on matters of legal importance.
• Promotes ethical and cultural awareness to the workforce through training, development, and consultation.
• Prepares reports in conformance with legislation and legal requirements or company needs.
• Actively participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and hiring process.
• Must have strong social media skills and the ability to utilize the latest technology to attract and recruit new talent.
• Employee relations events plan, organize and execute internal guest team building events.

Director of Talent and Culture Requirements

• Bachelor s degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a director or senior-level position.
• Experience HR is not a requirement
• Must possess knowledge of and/or the ability to learn all state and federal employment and labor laws in CA.
