We are a long established infrastructure construction and mining business seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Finance team in Brisbane.

Working closely with the rest of the finance team, the successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities overseeing a number of financial tasks and assisting with preparation of monthly and annual reports. You will enjoy a challenge, have a flexible approach and want to learn about finance. You should be motivated, proactive and highly organised to succeed in the role.

This is a full-time position, 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday within a sociable and collaborative Finance Team who will provide you with the guidance necessary to assist you in your success. Flexible working arrangements including the ability to work from home are available for this role.

Key role tasks:

The role will include performing the following in conjunction with the rest of the finance team:

• Accounts Receivable and Credit Control;
• Daily Banking and Cash Management;
• Maintaining Vendor Master Data;
• Other Ad-hoc Finance Administration tasks;
• Interacting with the business to answer ad hoc queries;
• Looking to improve processes wherever possible .

Key capability requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or Cert IV in Accounting/Diploma of Accounting;
• Previous entry level finance roles, such as AP, or Purchasing, or Credit Control would be preferred;
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload;
• SAP system experience (or similar ERP) would be an advantage;
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills demonstrating ability to understand spreadsheets;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate at all levels;
• Pro-active and flexible work approach.
