Golden Platter Hiring for Accounting Manager (On-site) Job at Newark, NJ Full Time

We are an established and rapidly growing manufacturer of plant-based food, meat/poultry and entree products, in Newark, NJ, selling to supermarkets, distributors and institutions nationwide.
We specialize in vegetarian, gluten-free, organic, and antibiotic-free product categories and are committed to producing safe, quality foods.

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our accounting department and support the Controller maintaining internal controls, reducing costs, and other activities that will support the company’s growth objectives.

Responsibilities:
– Ensure financial data is organized and updated timely via subordinates
– Oversee Accounts Receivable, chargeback analysis and collections & factoring reconciliation
– Oversee Accounts Payable
– Oversee and complete weekly payroll
– Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliation
– Ensuring all policies & procedures and applicable regulations are followed
– Resolve issues, internal audit, error detection
– Assist controller with Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Control & Cash Management
– Commissions, Royalties reporting and remittance, Accruals, Journal Entries
– Weekly, Monthly Financial and other ad-hoc reporting as required
– Assist with monthly, quarterly, year-end close & tax prep
– Assist with and participate in all audits as needed
– Continue to train and develop subordinates

Our ideal candidate:
– Must have 8+ Years hands on experience in all aspects of day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping work. Manufacturing industry preferred.
– Must have 4+ Years experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller in a small to mid-sized company, managing 2 or more people.
– Highly knowledgeable of GAAP
– Proficient in SAP Business One, familiar with QuickBooks desktop edition
– Must be proficient with Excel
– Is highly organized, and detail-oriented
– Can multitask well in a fast paced environment
– Maintains a professional demeanor, works well with people
– Has well developed communication skills
