International Student Services Admissions Coordinator

Golden Hills School Division operates a large international student program that sees approximately 300 international students come to in Canada in our schools. Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) International Student Services Advisor to commence immediately. This position works with a team of International Student Services Advisors with a focus on admissions and student support. We want to ensure that all students have a successful experience in Golden Hills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• reviewing and processing student applications
• supporting acceptance processes to Canada
• coordinating with and supporting schools
• building and maintaining positive Agent and Representative relationships
• assisting the creation of promotional materials
• assisting other international staff as required

Preference will be given to individuals with:

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database software and the ability to learn new software tools
• An appreciation for different cultures
• A willingness to learn new skills

This position will require the successful applicant to drive to dormitories, schools, and student appointments, so a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract and adequate liability insurance is required.
