Job Overview
You would be joining a small, yet high performing Product team that comprises of a Director of Product, 2 Product Managers and a Product designer. In this role, you would be focused different parts of our business including the Customer Portal, the Driver Portal, Driver Onboarding ATS and the Driver App. You would be working closely with customer solutions team and external clients to define the best possible solution for customers. You would represent the voice of stakeholders by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog to ensure that the engineers are working on the stories that drive maximum business value. You possess strong analytic, communication and project management skills with a knack for getting things done under any circumstances.
This position is of a remote nature with preference given to candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
In this role as a Product Manager, you will primarily:
Work alongside Product Management to understand and define upcoming product updates / features.
Represent the target persona through from conception to delivery Inspire engineers to think about the customer experience as they craft the GoFor workflows.
Distill complex features so they are digestible to multiple levels of the business. Display attention to detail and a willingness to explain to others, both verbally and in writing to gain buy-in. Own the product backlog.
Work with R&D to maintain a healthy backlog of prioritized work items, ensuring the most valuable are being defined and addressed.
Identifying tangible elements of value to end users and deliver to market in a Continuous Delivery methodology.
Get into the field, sit with our customers to understand their core business needs; and
Maintaining and owning the product roadmap
Scoping, researching and investigating company requirements, problems and demands that are within the scope of Product team (ie. Issues that are addressed by technology).
Planning, organizing, completing projects
Owning projects at the Epic level.
Resource management, overseeing product owners.
Controlling product quality.
Documentation on product for internal and external use.
Tracking performance indicators and KPIs relevant to Product Team.
Creating and managing the business case
Managing changes and change requests (to Scope, Time and Budget)
Tracking and measuring project/team progress (epics)
Convincing and influencing other parts of the business
Evangelizing Product and influencing parts of the business outside of product.
Education & Experience:
Experience working with scrum teams and SCRUM/Agile methodologies
Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
Excellent technical and communication skills coupled with a strong technical aptitude
Technical proficiency to learn product configurations and train the internal stakeholders.
