GoCo Hiring for Service Now Developer at Vancouver, BC Full Time

We are looking for “Service NOW Developer” to work remotely within Canada.

Position Summary

This individual must understand modern/agile software development lifecycle processes and enjoy working in a challenging environment to develop web applications, as well as building state of the art software with complex requirements. The successful candidate must have a very good knowledge of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in ServiceNow. This includes, Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, Problem Management modules. Candidate also must be an independent, highly motivated, results-driven individual who has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for the development and implementation of ServiceNow.

Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and Configure Workflow.

Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including, CSM, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Asset Management, ITIL framework.

Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side programming using JavaScript/GlideScript, AJAX, CSS, HTML.

Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications, configure/extend workflow.

ServiceNow integration experience with Salesforce using ServiceNow and Salesforce APIs, web services and other web-based technologies such as Angular JS, XML, JSON, REST/SOAP.

Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, stage, testing, sandbox, and production environments.

Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.

Skills and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience with designing and developing web-based applications programming experience

Service NOW development experience mandatory

Familiar with full stack development:
|server|business-logic|data-model|API|UI|customer|

Strong relational database skills: experience with MS SQL Server is an asset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to present technical information in a way that non-technical management and staff will understand

Understand principles of agile development

Understand Web Service architecture

Ability to learn new software technology and use it

Understand RESTful systems

Training/Certification:
ITIL certification and/or ServiceNow Certification preferred
