Position Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day accounting responsibility of general ledger and monthly close activities
• Hands on preparation of GL, AP, AR, Billing, Project Accounting, Payroll, Sales Tax, etc.
• Equity reporting and use of stock option software as well as preparing journal entries
• Responsible for cash projections, managing cash flow and financial reporting
• Revenue recognition based on review of contracts and customer agreements
• Prepare external tax reporting
• Adherence to GAAP in financial systems controls and procedures for clean audit
• Coordinates audits of company’s accounts
• Manages relationships with banks and other company vendors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or MBA preferred
• Public accounting background a major plus
• 
  Experience with a big 4 a plus
• A minimum of 7 years accounting experience including general, cost, audit and financial reporting; and a minimum of five years of experience in all areas of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Revenue recognition expertise with strong knowledge of ASC 606
• Minimum three years accounting experience in complex software subscriptions and professional services environment, including time recording; expense attribution; labor utilization; billing and reporting
• Ability to cultivate a business partner relationship with operational groups within the company
• Advanced level skills in EXCEL including heavy use of pivot tables
• Analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Strong research and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with ability to see the big strategic picture
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Highly motivated individual driven to keep pace in a fast moving environment.
• Sound work ethic with flexibility to work beyond normal business hours as needed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to adapt to rapid change and think creatively
