GMT Logistic, Inc. is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our accounting department. You’ll be responsible for preparing, reviewing and filing corporate taxes for our company. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll and working with accounting for a transportation company. Previous work experience with a transportation company, along with a degree in Accounting is required for this role. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting.

• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
• General ledger maintenance, monthly and quarterly financial closing, payroll and tax filings.
• Maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing internal and external financial statements.
• Filing IFTA
• Account Reconcile
• Cross train accounts payables/receivables.
• File Permits
• IRP
• QuickBooks
• Balancing of all company credit cards/accounts
• Prepare 1099’s
• Monthly Financial statements
• Profit/Loss Sheets

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
